Congratulations to the 2019 High School Graduates of Macarthur!

Congratulations to the 2019 High School Graduates of Macarthur!

Year 12 Students and parents last week celebrated the end of Term 3, and for many schools this meant Graduation week. It was no different in our household with Centaine finishing her 13 years of primary and secondary schooling. Like many parents Greer and I were full with pride seeing our daughter grow up into a wonderful woman, surrounded by great friends and even greater teachers. It’s really not until you have one of these weeks foisted upon you, that you take the time to reflect on all the wonderful support our kids receive throughout their journey, sure there’s mums and dads, there’s also siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Watching Centaine and her school friends interact with each other and their teaching staff, really made me reflect on just how lucky we are. There was plenty of time to acknowledge the award recipients, sporting and academic alike and it was great to see some obviously super intelligent young women step up for their moment in the spotlight. So, Term 3 is finished, “schooling” has finished, but the tough journey through to the HSC continues. In just under three weeks, the year 12 students of the Macarthur will sit down to their first exam. Between now and then I’m sure there’ll be plenty of nerves, plenty of coffee and plenty of study, we wish them well and are very proud of everything they have achieved!
